Stu Nelson Regatta
The weekend of October 22-23, Melissa Bermudez, CC'12, Marie Johnson, BC'12, Irene Jacqz, SEAS'13, and Ali Rosenfeld, BC'13, traveled up to Connecticut College for the Stu Nelson intersectional regatta. The sailors had the opportunity to meet alum Bonnie Fleming, BC '93 as she generously hosted the sailors for the weekend. Saturday saw a late start due to light winds, which eventually filled in SW 3-5 knots. Conditions became more and more difficult as the day progressed as the breeze was more and more shifty and eventually died out.
On Sunday, though a third B race was attempted for the second and third times, no races were sailed. Both attempts were called off due to no wind. Because not enough races were sailed in B division, the regatta is not official. Special thanks to Will's friend Molly Lucas for her great coaching and again thanks to Bonnie Fleming.
